More children need our help

Every year thousands of unaccompanied child refugees arrive in Europe, mostly in Greece, Italy and increasingly Spain. Many do not stay in those countries but, unaware of their rights, take dangerous journeys north.

Children trying to reach their relatives in any European country have a legal right to travel safely through Europe. Either because they have close family in their destination country who can look after them, or because of the Dubs amendment to the Immigration Bill, which offers protection in the UK to some of the most vulnerable unaccompanied refugee children in Europe.

We want to help them access those rights.

“When I arrived in Calais, I managed to find my classmate from Syria in the camp who had left before me. It was hard because I didn’t have a phone and didn’t know anyone else. I couldn’t speak much English or French and wasn’t told about the youth centre, so I had nothing to do but wait.”
