The easiest way to collect donations and Gift Aid is by creating a Just Giving online account, the money raised then goes straight to Citizens UK, which the Safe Passage project comes under. Gift Aid can also be easily collected via Just Giving, which is really important to us, as it allows us to collect an extra 25p back on every pound raised by UK tax payers.
If you are offering goods in exchange for donations (like raffle tickets or cake) you are not able to claim Gift Aid under UK law.
If you are collecting money at an event such as a bake sale we ask that you ensure collections are received through a sealed container. This helps to ensure fundraising best practice.
Donations can also be received via text message, just text SPUK66 £10 to 70070 to make a donation for unaccompanied minors. This is a free service for Safe Passage UK. Sending a text donation will either be free (to Vodaphone customers), be included in your text bundle or will be costed as a standard text rate by your mobile operator. Gift Aid can be added to donations. Click here for full terms and conditions of SMS donate service.
Alternatively, to help get the cash flowing in, we recommend you use our simple branded sponsorship forms. Just contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll email the form to you.
