THIS PROBLEM WON'T END IN OUR LIFETIME.

Today, there are over 100 million people on the move, many of them children who are unaware of their rights and are seeking safety.

For as long as people are being forcibly displaced, Safe Passage International aims to work with refugees to ensure that they receive the advice, resources and support they need.

Our vision is for every person seeking asylum to be able to access safe passage to a place where they can lead a full and dignified life.

A gift in your Will is a lasting legacy and act of solidarity, ensuring that people on the move can access a place of safety and the legal support they need towards rebuilding their life. The beauty of leaving a legacy gift is that it costs you nothing now. You might be surprised how far a gift in your Will can go, even a small cash sum could fund Safe Passage to assist a child refugee to reach family and safety.

What could your gift do?

  • Provide expert legal assistance to refugees seeking a place of safety.

  • Enable children to be reunited safely with their relatives.

  • Help unaccompanied child refugees to receive the legal support they need.

  • Build public awareness and support for refugees to help achieve systemic improvements to policies limiting the rights of refugees.

LEAVING YOUR LEGACY IS SIMPLE.

You can do it by following the steps below.

STEP 1: Choose to recognise Safe Passage International in your Will, once your you’ve considered family and friends. By remembering Safe Passage International in your Will, you can be there for future generations of people seeking safety.

STEP 2: Decide the type of gift you would like to donate to Safe Passage International. There are two main types of gifts you can donate to the charity in your Will, either (1) a cash gift for a specific sum of money or (2) a percentage of your estate.

STEP 3: Read our Guide on legacy donations to find out more about the process of Will-making.  If you choose to help people access safe routes as they flee persecution, it is important that you understand the various steps that must be taken to ensure your wishes are followed correctly.

STEP 4: Contact your solicitor or Will writer. Provide your solicitor or Will writer with details of the charity. They will need the full charity name (Safe Passage International), charity address (PO Box 79446, London, E2 2HS), and registered charity number (1179608).

STEP 5: Let us know! People like you make the work Safe Passage does possible. We would love to share with you information about our supporter events in the future.
