HOW TO COLLECT DONATIONS
Collecting donations
If you are collecting money at an event, we ask that you ensure collections are received through a sealed container. This helps to ensure fundraising best practice. We can send you a collection bucket for donations if necessary - please contact us at fundraising@safepassage.org.uk. You can then pay the money you raise into a bank account and either make a donation to us online, via cheque or via bank transfer (see below for details).
Cheque
Send a cheque made payable to ‘Safe Passage International’ and post to:
Safe Passage International, PO Box 79446, LONDON E2 2HS
Bank transfer
Make a bank transfer to the following account:
Bank name: Barclays
Account Name: Safe Passage International
Sort code: 20-69-15
Account No: 70071722
Please send us details of your donation by e-mailing fundraising@safepassage.org.uk
Create a fundraising page
If you are participating in or organising an event, the easiest way to collect donations is by creating a Just Giving online account and setting up a fundraising page linked to Safe Passage. Gift Aid can also be easily collected via Just Giving, which is really important to us, as it allows us to collect an extra 25p back on every pound raised by UK tax payers.
Gift Aid
The easiest way for you to collect donations and Gift Aid is by creating a Just Giving online account that is linked to Safe Passage. Gift Aid can also be easily collected via Just Giving, which is really important to us, as it allows us to collect an extra 25p back on every pound raised by UK tax payers.
Alternatively, if you are collecting donations in person you can download our Gift Aid declaration form to get the donors to sign and send it back to the team at Safe Passage.
If you are offering goods in exchange for donations (like raffle tickets or cake) you are not able to claim Gift Aid under UK law.
