How long should I expect to hear from Safe Passage on a decision on my application?

This varies depending on the volume of applications and the type of role. Please be patient with us whilst we process applications. You will be contacted if you have been shortlisted for interviews and we provide tailored feedback to all candidates who are invited to interviews.

Unfortunately, we are currently only able to provide feedback to candidates who have been invited to interview.

You should receive an automatic reply confirming receipt of your appliation. However, if you are unsure of the status of your application please do get in touch using the form below.

I require additional support.

If you require reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process please contact us on hr@safepassage.org.uk. We will be happy to accommodate reasonable adjustments, so please just ask.

We welcome feedback on the application process and encourage you to contact our Operations Team via hr@safepassage.org.uk with any feedback that will help us improve our inclusive recruitment processes in the future, with both positive reflections and suggestions for development.

Do you offer volunteer placement, internship or work experience opportunities?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate internship/placement opportunities at this current time.

Do you accept speculative applications

We are unable to process and accept speculative applications. Please apply for available roles you may be interested here

Do you provide feedback if I am unsuccessful?

As a small charity, we are unfortunately unable to provide feedback on CVs and Cover Letters, however, we do provide tailored feedback to all candidates who are invited to interviews.

I have been invited to an interview but am feeling very nervous. Any tips?

  1. Don’t panic! It’s understandable that nerves may kick in before your interview, so here are a few words of advice:
  2. Feel free to bring in some notes in response to the interview questions provided to you and refer to them during the interview.
  3. Give yourself time to prepare in advance so that you have plenty of example to provide during the interview that demonstrate how you meet the Person Specification.
  4. Remember that interviews are a two-way process. They are as much about you learning more about the role and organisation and deciding if Safe Passage is a place you want to work, as they are about our friendly interview panels deciding fairly who is the most suitable candidate to deliver the role.
  5. If your interview is over video, we would suggest you test your connection with a family member or friend beforehand and set up a comfortable place to do your interview. We completely understand that there are times when your Wi-Fi connections may not be the most reliable. If this is the case, please let HR know and we can try out best to offer you alternative arrangements

I don’t have the right to work, can I still apply?

As a small and young charity, we are not currently able to sponsor work visas. For this reason, we include on the Person Specification for each role that the applicant must already have the full legal right to work in the UK without restriction. You can find more information here: https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa
