GIFT AID DECLARATION

Gift Aid is reclaimed by Safe Passage International from the tax you pay for a given tax year.

Your address is needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer.

In order to Gift Aid your donation and all future donations you must tick the box on the Safe Passage donation page when making your donation.

By ticking the box on the Safe Passage donation page you are declaring “I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.”

Please notify Safe Passage International (info@safepassage.org.uk) if you:

  • want to cancel your declaration

  • change your name or home address

  • no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains

If you pay income tax at the higher or additional rate and you want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include your Gift Aid donations on your self-assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

Corporate donations and those made from Charitable Trusts or Foundations are not eligible for Gift Aid.

Donations in return for tickets (raffles, actions, events) or for goods or services are not eligible for Gift Aid.

Donations on behalf of someone else are not eligible for Gift Aid, including joint declarations such as a couple donating together.
