Response to announcement on General Election

As a General Election is announced for July, we’re committed to standing up for the rights of refugees and fighting for safe routes to be opened. Our response on today’s announcement:

Dr Wanda Wyporska, CEO at Safe Passage International: “We want to see refugees welcomed here - for those fleeing war and persecution to get the protection they need to live a safe life.

“Our priorities for the next government are clear – open safe routes, fix the family reunion rules, work with other countries to welcome refugees and restore the right to seek protection.

“We will continue to fight for refugees and the unaccompanied children we work with.”
