Sadiq Khan Puts His Support Behind The Our Turn Campaign

We’re delighted that London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, has come out in support of the Our Turn campaign to bring forward the legacy of the Kindertransport on its 80th anniversary.

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “Every child should have a place to call home and London has a long history of providing sanctuary to those seeking refuge.

“As Mayor I am working closely with London boroughs and Community Sponsorship Groups to ensure that London can play its part in resettling refugees and supporting their integration.

 “The Kindertransport was an example of the best of humanity emerging from the worst of circumstances. As Safe Passage help celebrate its 80th anniversary I am proud that so many London boroughs have led the way in offering support and hope to refugee and asylum-seeking children. It’s vital that London boroughs receive the funding and support they need from Government to provide the right help to the most vulnerable.”
