Our message to the new Labour Government

The results are in for the 2024 General Election, with Labour winning a considerable majority. Here’s our message for the new Government:

Dr Wanda Wyporska, CEO at Safe Passage International: “We have witnessed 14 years of cruelty and a virtual ban on people fleeing war and persecution seeking asylum.  The new Government must take a radically different direction, restoring the right to claim asylum. We demand an asylum system with dignity, an end to deaths in the channel and safe routes for refugees.”
